--- sidebar_position: 7 title: Validation --- # Validation By default `swagger-jsdoc` tries to parse all docs to it's best capabilities. If you'd like to you can instruct an Error to be thrown instead if validation failed by setting the options flag `failOnErrors` to `true`. This is for instance useful if you want to verify that your swagger docs validate using a unit test. ```javascript const swaggerJsdoc = require('swagger-jsdoc'); const options = { failOnErrors: true, // Whether or not to throw when parsing errors. Defaults to false. definition: { openapi: '3.0.0', info: { title: 'Hello World', version: '1.0.0', }, }, apis: ['./src/routes*.js'], }; const openapiSpecification = swaggerJsdoc(options); ```
